Welcome to our blog about our unconventional life!
We’re an Australian family of 5 who are currently travelling the world for an indefinite length of time. We’ve always done things a little unconventionally, from homebirth to home education. Over the past more than a decade raising our children, we have travelled throughout the east coast of Australia, taking as many trips as we could juggle around my husband’s work commitments with the Australian Defence Force. He discharged in September 2016, and 8 months later we set off on our long-awaited-for worldschooling adventure. Our kids have always been unschooled so with nothing tying us to one place, we wanted to give our kids the best education we can – real-world experiences through travel.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
